Amendment to the Regulation on the Implementation of Technology Development Zones

The Ministry of Industry and Technology (“Ministry”) has published an amendment to the Regulation on the Implementation of Technology Development Zones (“Regulation”).

Under the new Regulation, permits and licenses related to land use, building and facility design, and construction based on approved zoning plans may now be issued not only by the Ministry, but also by provincial directorates designated by the Ministry, provided conditions stated-below are met.

These conditions are as follows:

• If the landowner is a public institution or organization, or
• If the zone managing company qualifies as a public entity within the scope of the Public Procurement Law.

In such case, in accordance with the Construction Zoning Law no:3194, the relevant permits and licenses issued under the approved implementation zoning plan may be granted, free of charge, by either the designated provincial directorates or the General Directorate.
