Public Announcement on the Standard Contract Notification Module

The Personal Data Protection Authority (“Authority“) published the Public Announcement on the Standard Contract Notification Module (“Public Announcement”) on 25/10/2024.

Pursuant to Article 9 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“LPPD”), standard contracts are determined as an appropriate safeguard that data controllers and data processors can use for the transfer of personal data outside of Turkiye.

According to Article 14 of the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles Regarding the Transfer of Personal Data Abroad (“Regulation”), after its execution and within five business days following the completion of the signatures, the standard contract must be submitted to the Authority physically or via registered electronic mail (KEP) address or other methods determined by the Board. Pursuant to the decision of the Personal Data Protection Board dated 17.10.2024 and numbered 2024/1793, it is decided that the submission can also be made through the ‘Standard Contract Notification Module’ on https://standartsozlesme.kvkk.gov.tr/.
