Another amendment was made, with the Official Gazette dated March 15, 2025, issue number 32842, to the Regulation on Amending the Regulation on Electronic Commerce Intermediary Service Providers (“ETAHS”) and Electronic Commerce Service Providers, which was already amended in the Official Gazette dated March 8, 2025.
With the Regulation amendment, the term ‘calendar year’, which was added on March 8, was removed again, and it was stipulated that in determining whether the thresholds for license application and renewal have been exceeded, the net transaction volumes and number of transactions of ETAHSs, together with the economic unity that ETAHS is a part of, will be taken into account without any year limit.
Thus, the recent regulation that clarified the timing of the evaluation of the economic unity criterion regarding the licensing and renewal obligations of ETAHSs was abandoned.
